Blood Has a Voice

There are many voices in the world. There are even louder cries of pain — from those who suffer injustice, the hungry, the rejected, the forsaken, the lost, the desperate…

Many voices have cried out. But few have been heard.

What makes one of these voices different?

The difference is in the voice that never ceases to cry out; the one that insists on being answered, and the longer it waits for it, the louder it cries.

It’s the voice of blood.

It has nothing to do with a simple prayer or religious supplication. Those can wait.

But the voice of blood cries out. It refuses to wait. It expects to be answered immediately.

The voice of blood cries out, complains, and makes demands. Not even death can silence it. Not even God can deny its requests.

The voice of your brother’s blood cries out to Me from the ground. Genesis 4.10

Lessons from the Olive Press – PRIORITIES

Order is essential to life. Get the order of things wrong, and you'll mess up everything in your life.

Again, looking at the process of oil extraction and why God chose olive oil as a symbol of Himself and His anointing, you'll understand why perhaps your family, marriage, work, spiritual life, etc. are out of order.

Lessons from the Olive Press

Nothing God does is by chance. It was no coincidence that He chose olive oil as a symbol of His Spirit and anointing. Taking a closer look at the process of extracting oil in Bible times can help us understand why.

Real lessons with real solutions for life's real problems.

Nice tool for writers, translators

Sometimes you may not be sure you're saying/writing a phrase correctly. Dependence on or dependence of? Writing you or writing to you?

I found this nice tool you might find handy: Netspeak

Just thought I'd share this with you.

Are you running on empty?

In the parable of the 10 virgins, the 5 foolish virgins lacked the wisdom to prepare extra oil in case the bridegroom was late. The wise knew better.

Intelligence teaches faith that it needs to be prepared for struggles and difficulties. Not even all faith in the world could help you avoid struggles. They come. So we need to be wise, sensible, intelligent and be prepared for the day of evil. The easy life is an enemy of faith.

Navy Seals, the military unit that killed Bin Laden, have a saying: “Two is one, and one is nothing.” This saying reminds them to plan, to always have a backup plan, a plan B in case plan A fails…

True people of faith operate in the same mindset. They know that victory is certain, but that it may take longer, cost more, and be more difficult than expected. But because they have the oil of the Holy Spirit, their backup, they’re prepared for anything. The Holy Spirit is like a reserve of faith (an extra tank), that enables us to find strength in weakness, and to keep walking while others are collapsing.

If you continue to “burn the midnight oil” like the foolish virgins—allowing yourself to be consumed with problems, worry, excessive work, and fighting all by yourself without refilling your faith reserves, your oil will also be used up—even if you received the Holy Spirit at one time.

Those who are smart and sensible always ensure that their lamps are full of oil because they never know what tomorrow will bring.

A penchant for so-called nobodies

Some of my favorite Bible verses can be found in 1 Corinthians 1.27, 28:

God chose things the world considers foolish in order to shame those who think they are wise. And he chose things that are powerless to shame those who are powerful. God chose things despised by the world, things counted as nothing at all, and used them to bring to nothing what the world considers important.

I never get tired of reading them. I see myself in them. And I laugh.

I laugh because God has a sense of humor. It’s a pity we take ourselves too seriously sometimes…

If you only knew that your weakness is actually your strength; that what disqualifies you in the world is what qualifies you with God; that your handicaps and shortcomings place you right inside those verses — you would laugh too.

Many people may be laughing at you because of your failures or pitiful life. They may not do it in front of you, but you can almost hear them behind your back.

Well, I want to invite you to have the last laugh.

If you are tired of:
  • being the laughingstock of people
  • being a nobody
  • having nobody
  • having nothing
  • achieving nothing
  • being humiliated by others
  • feeling small
  • being a serial failure
Then come to this meeting and put the above verses to the test. See what God is going to do. You will have the last laugh.
