Bp Renato,

Standing firm!

I appreciate hearing "defeat those thoughts", "repeatedly", "over and over"....

Yes, I believe the more we practice asking, the higher our results in receiving, not to mention the likelihood of positive discoveries.

Thank you!

Bishop Renato,
You're right! We need to practice the power of asking and challenge those doubts like what will others think of me and etc. Every time those thoughts pop in I need to defeat them and that's the time that I should ask. Thanks.

I agree, asking is a skill we need to develop, because we have nothing to lose by asking and so much to gain, when we do receive what we ask for.

I grew up in Africa and it wasn't until I experienced life in Europe that I came to appreciate the culture we have there. In most parts of Africa, it is very common to rely on neighbours. It is common to run to your next-door neighbour when you've run out of sugar. In fact you think nothing about it. And, that is the point. The more you ask, the more you perfect your skill, and when you've perfected the skill of asking things that are perhaps insignificant, when time comes to ask significant things, you will be ready.
