True, true, true.

A message as deep as those roots.

This was true early on in our marriage until we got to work and changed ourselves instead of trying to change each other.

Good stuff.

The truth definitely hurts, but its extremely helpful. The world would literally be a bed of roses if people just focused on changing themselves and stopped trying to change others.

Reminds me of this verse: "Why do you look at the speck that is in your brother's eye, but do not notice the log that is in your own eye?" Matthew 7:3

Wow, i never saw it in that way. Thanks for the message. As I am not married yet it is definitely important for me to change and deal with inner issues now so that when I do get married they wont affect my marriage.

This a good lesson for the future, as for now too. We have to see our own mistakes before even pointing out other people's mistakes. We have to accept and change, even though is hard. No Sacrifice No Success

We have to fix ourselves first in order to help others.

I have been trying to change my husband for 9 years and nothing has changed! You’re so right Bishop, I need to be the change that I want to see. I need to stop looking at him, and fix myself, because his never going to change if he feels criticised for the way he is.
