- Look at your life. What are you frustrated about? What do you NOT want to continue to happen? No one can decide to change without first hating the situation they’re in.
- Understand that your life is the result of your decisions. Your life at this moment is the result of hundreds or thousands of decisions that you made (or failed to make) since your youth.
- Decide to do something right now to change your life. If the desire to change remains inside of you, and is not outwardly expressed through some sort of decision, it has no power whatsoever. It can’t help you. Change only happens when a decision is made.
Remember that faith is a decision, and a decision is faith. Before I decide anything, I have to believe (have faith) that it will work, and for my faith to work, I have to make a decision to act on it. The Day of Decision is actually the day of faith in action!
PS. When you don’t make your own decisions, someone will end up making them for you. That’s when you complain, saying: “Yea, but I didn’t have a choice.” But the truth is that you took so much time deciding that someone came along and decided for you.

I recently went thru an ordeal where this word of your's bishop was clearly shown in my life. I took to long to make a decision and now the opportunity has passed me by. I am so frustrated with what has happen that now not only will i fight for the blessing of being with this person but i also have decided to change my way of thinking, reacting, and my actions towards a situation. Ever since that day i have felt much more better, stronger, and determined in my spiritual life and i feel like nothings gonna stop me from having what it is that i want do that God's name can be glorified and his kingdom grow with souls. "I can do anything, in Jesuschrist that gives me strength"
What many people fail to realize is doing nothing is also a decision. People decide to sit back and let things take their course instead of choosing the course that things should take. And, as you mentioned, by taking too long to act, people decide to hand their decision over to others who are at least brave enough or quick enough to make decisions.
Bishop is very true that change only happens when a decision is made and as matter of fact our lives is based on decision, decision to do or not to do and whatever we choose there will be consequences.
And also the longer we take to make a decision the more our live is delayed because until we take a decision nothing will happen or even as you said "someone else will take the decision for us" and then we miss out in having our lives the ways we want to.
Thank you
